The cash was used to purchase a meal at the McDonald's on Garrisonville Road in Stafford County on July Fourth, around 3:20 p.m., Sheriff David Decatur said.

"While at first glance the cash looks rather real, on further inspection, it was discovered to be fake," police said. "Staff was not loving it when they discovered this fact."

Decatur urged businesses to check for fraudulent money, "whether you work for a clown or a king," and report all incidents.
